We just found out that if you pull an advanced list for your current year candidates and they have a Connection on their tab (like referred by or other relationship, not to be confused with Community Connection), but that connection was added during a previous admissions year, it will not pull to the list.
This is very frustrating. Many times we may reapply a student for a new year and they do not need to complete a new application or inquiry. We see the info on the tab, but the list is blank.
Support has confirmed this is working as intended. This makes no sense. How can you have data on a tab and see it no matter what entering year you flip to, but you can't pull it via an advanced list.
Hi all - we made a change to advanced lists in 2023 to allow you to show all connections (referred by/special relationship) regardless of which entering year they were originally added for. In order to do this, you need to choose to join the Candidate and Candidate Connection objects using User ID when you select the Candidate Connection object. If you have an existing advanced list that was created before this change, you will need to remove the Candidate Connection object and re-add it for this to take effect.
Thanks!

Agreed. What's the point of collecting the data if it cannot be accessed via an advanced list? Even if a student reapplies, I can see a family not thinking to share the information again. If they told a school once, whey would they need to share it again?
