I find the People Finder drop down very frustrating as when searching for a name if you move the cursor even slightly the people finder disappears. It would be very helpful if this was not the case. I hope this is something you can consider in the future, Thank you. Small things make huge differences.
@Kelsey - sorry, but that's not our experience. Even after licking on "People Finder", it disappears as soon as the cursor moves off of the dropdown. Please make this field a permanent field that's always accessible - like Raiser's Edge.
Agree that not being able to click Return to select the first option is annoying and having to click after typing (and being careful not to slide off the pop-up search window) is slow.
No, it does not exist as described. When I click on the people finder I want it to stay open, especially as I have to take my hand off my mouse and it sometimes the mouse slides a bit - which closes the window. The mouse also moves when I switch back from typing the search criteria, so I can make a selection.
"Close on roll-off" is only a good UI when all the interactions are done with the pointer. When someone has to switch to keyboard and back, that gives two opportunities for human error to close the window. This is frustrating, and wastes time.
Sure I understand what you are saying but the minute you move away from the People Finder then it closes. That is my frustration.
Hi all,
The People Finder window will stay open if you actually click on "People Finder" in the navigation bar. If you just hover over People Finder without clicking, then the window will close as soon as you navigate away. I'm going to close this idea since the functionality to keep it open already exists. If you have suggestions outside of keeping the window open, please feel free to add new ideas!
Thanks,

Agreed. Put a permanent search at the top of Core would be dreamy!
Also, if the search could act like a "standard" search field and select the first option when you type "return", that'd be fabulous. Having to click after typing (and being careful not to slide off the pop-up search window) is slow.
It also seems to be a bit buggy at times when typing in a name and nothing will appear even when there are users/constituents with that name in the system. A refresh of the page doesn't seem to solve the issue either.
