Contract Reminder Notifications on "Not Returning" Indicators

I am requesting that, if on a contract "Not Returning" is selected, this prevents Contract Reminder notifications from going to these users. We have had instances where a contract will be issued to a user, but we then find out the user will not be returning. Currently, the only option to prevent notifications from going out is to mark the contract as "Received" anyways, or remove it all together. I would like to be able to check "Not Returning" and have that stop the notifications.

    I agree with these comments. There should be a filter for reminders so that candidates who have declined our offer or who have contracts marked as not returning can be eliminated from reminders.

    Note to BB: When you mark a contract not-returning the parent NO LONGER has access to the contract when they log in. So it is really silly to send them a reminder. And a lot to ask of users - who assume that the reminder won't be sent - to ALSO put in an Expire Date. But I think that is how we will do it in the fut

    You can also mark the contract expired which I think is the best option as it is logical to expire a contract when the family is not returning

    Agree also!  We just sent several reminders to parents who had already notified us they were not returning.  Our work-around is to remove the parents as responsible signers, so they will not receive contract notices.  Not very efficient, though.  Julie's idea is great.  Does the Hold-Other category appear in the number of contract "Holds" or mess up numbers anywhere else?

    Agree! We've decided to use the "hold-other" category for not returning students - this keeps the contract from showing to the parents and no reminders are sent.
