Questions in Application should link to checkboxes in Relationship Settings

I understand that the checkboxes in the “relationships” section linking each candidate to their family may be used in different ways by different schools. However, we already ask questions on the application that seem to correlate with these checkboxes.

For example- if a parent answers “yes” to the question “Does this person reside with the candidate,” then “resides with” should automatically be checked off.

They may answer “yes” to the “Custodial parent” part of the application. We renamed this to be ‘Does this parent/guardian have legal custody?’ They should show up as having “parental access” and “list as parent” and have the Role of parent.

We should be able to link questions on the application to checkboxes in the relationship settings so that we don’t have to open and review the application to see what access each family member should have.

This is part of a generally frustrating issue with many fields from applications not feeding into Core or Candidate profiles. The whole point of a digital form that connects to a database is to reduce manual data entry which was a big reason for our school moving from hard copy applications to BB forms. And yet we still have to manually bring in things like this into the candidate record if we want our admissions/admin staff to have quick access to it without opening the application...

Astonished that this thread doesn't have more traction. I find it confusing and also a customer service issue that we ask parents these important questions during the application process but then have no way of translating their answers into Core.
