We can choose when payment plans expire (although this doesn’t work if a parent views the contract and then submits it much later after the expiration date) but we can’t choose when they go into effect.

Being able to choose when payment plans start and finish, and only having these plans available during those times no matter whether a parent has viewed the contract, would decrease the number of contracts that have to be maintained by an incredible amount.
