Make it OPTIONAL that modified tuition or fee amounts are replaced after contracts generated. Merged

This is a huge problem for us. After we assign contracts and generate them, sometimes we have special circumstances where we need to add a fee for some students.

For instance- the only way we know how to add an “International Student Fee” without creating a whole separate contract is to go into each international student’s contract and add a fee in the edit area.
However, if we generate a few more contracts at a later date, then all of that work gets erased and written over. Things like financial holds stay, but I was unable to find a list of “If you generate contracts again, these areas will be over-written.”

Even worse, when contracts are re-generated, it indiscriminately marks with a ‘yes’ which contracts were “modified after generate” without regard to whether those are areas that will be over-written or not. I know from experience that it’ll keep all the financial holds marked, but the additional fees for international students will disappear unless a parent “looks” at it, but again- that’s not indicated anywhere I found.

When you change a Deposit Amount after the Contract is Generated and then have to re generate the contract, it over writes the changed amount. We would like to chose to not re generate for Users that have had changes to the Deposit.

I agree!  In the generate window it shows the modified contracts. It should default to NOT regenerating and allow a checkbox to regenerate. It is very confusing that some fields are regenerated and others are not.
