Return ability to tie an Official Note to a teacher's group

It was great when a teacher could write an Official Note that was tied to their class; that gave the parent some context if the teacher forgot to mention the class and just wrote "Johnny hasn't been doing his homework lately" or something similar.  If a dropdown existed to allow a teacher to choose the group a note should be associated with (as a display field only - no other functionality implied) that would bring back that feature.

It used to be that official notes included the course name and section if the teacher wrote it from their class page. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Yes, we need a way to identify the department at the very least. Also, the ability to have official notes of a certain department to go to that department chair. We have all our department chairs on the monitoring team but they get all official notes rather than just those from their department. Really need a way to filter this.

It would be great  to include teacher name/course when writing official notes/comments.  We have a number of parents with multiple children and it becomes problematic for them when they are trying to figure out what course the teacher is referring to.

Actually I guess a more appropriate suggestion to this would be to have a drop down that would include "course titles". Similar to what shows on a student's progress page, these courses would be available as choices in a drop down as a teacher composes an official note for any individual student.

I would like to see a drop down box in the official notes too that would allow the teacher to choose the class they are writing the note for. It would also allow teachers to sort notes by the different classes (math, English, science, etc.) Thank you!
