We would like to have some activities set up well in advance of the academic year - such as Student Council - so they can use all of the benefits of the platform as they move to the opening of school. However, come the opening school, students do not have the opportunity to "sign-up" for Student Council. Currently, there is no way to hide these types of activities from the activities listed if you want to use the Activities feature of Course request. Also if a school uses an activity block to schedule lunch or a common meeting time such as chapel, those "activities" appear on the list as well.
Agreed, the inability to hide certain activities for the course request section can also create confusion for students, as they may feel the need to request lunch, to ensure they get a lunch block. This confusion carries over to other activity sections students are already enrolled in.
