Option to disable ability for Coaches to add games/practices

We want to narrow even further a coach's ability to update Athletics.

We only want them to be able to:
- Message/Email parents, roster, all
- Add an Announcement, or message on the team page (i.e. Practice location moved)

In Manage Tasks for the Coach role, the only tasks enabled are:
- Messages
- News
- Resource Board

Currently, when I impersonate a coach these things happen -

  • Team Page: When Enter Edit Mode button is clicked, the page goes blank and there is nothing to edit
  • When Schedule is clicked, the coach has the ability to Add Game or Practice or Add Bulk Practices, or Change Settings. We do not want them to have any of these capabilities. We only want them to View the schedule. In addition, I am getting a red error message "Error loading athletic transportation".

    Hi There,

    So happy to report that we are now honoring the schedule tasks under Core > Users/Access > Profile > Manage Roles when you are Editing the Coach tasks. This will allow you to customize whether a Coach can Add and/or Edit Games and/or Practices. 

    I hope this helps out our schools who centralize Athletic Schedule management through the AD's office.
