We have some teachers collaborating on units who would like to have a discussion board that is visible across all of the involved sections, however, they are not co-teachers. We know we could set them up as co-teachers to make this work, however, we do not want to add more sections to a teacher's Faculty persona just so they can do an assignment or unit in tandem with another. This feature would promote collaboration between teachers in the same vein as the ability to share topics between faculty members, except it would not create a bank for them to copy from - it would allow a teacher to create a single assignment that they could invite other sections to participate in (much like you can do currently for your own class sections). In particular, we would like to have the students be able to see the responses from all other students in all invited sections.
