Topics for Each Year Should be Their Own Instance

Topics that are shared/imported should have the ability to be unlinked from one another so that teachers can share topics to other courses, or import from previous years, without changing the original/other sections where the topic is shared. We need topics that are imported from year to year to be their own instance and not shared to past years.

    Hi All,


    Great news! With the Topic Sharing/Copying feature that went live on June 1st, we also updated the Import Topic behavior. Imported Topics will now be their own instance so that instances used in previous term's sections will remain intact when edits are made.

    We have asked for this as well - many times.  Do you all have any sense if this will be implemented before the end of this academic year?
