We have moved our schedule import timetable to early July. We continue to use ClassA for our scheduling. Our students need the option to see their courses for the upcoming fall semester to allow for summer reading and course prep. However, we do not want them to see who the teacher will be or the schedule (block) until orientation prior to the start of the school year. If we simply omit these items from the import, we negate a teacher's ability to begin class prep with regard to class pages and topics. Having this option will streamline scheduling and provide appropriate, timely information to our students and families.
I know this is an older suggestion, but it absolutely impacts our process. It would vastly improve our schedule release timeline if we could toggle on/off an option to hide course teachers.
We, too, need the ability to hide the block from the list view of courses. We are careful to restrict parent and student access in all other schedule settings, but the students know how to identify the block in list view on their Progress page and compare with their peers. While we want to give families the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming school year in regards to summer reading and supplies needs, the school needs that time to continue adjusting schedules for class size, gender balance, etc.
This is an important option for us, we like to discourage the sort of teacher shopping that happens when classes are first released.
