We use Standards Based Grading where a single assignment might contribute to multiple standards. Teachers like the new rubric tool for giving feedback about these standards, but they would like the gradebook to show a running progress of these standards which does not currently seem possible since teachers are unable to create standards or assignment categories unique to them.
We have implemented the hybrid gradebook (so total scores as well as skill assessment scores) as part of the CBE initiative at this point. If you aren't using CBE and would like to be turned on please get in touch.
We are in EAP for CBE and part of that scope is to reflect the competencies within assignments in the gradebook, as well as other areas of the application.
