Currently, our teachers are not able to mark a student as Absent for an assignment in their grade book. Their only options are Exempt, Incomplete, Missing, or Late. If a teacher assigned classwork and a student was absent for it they would prefer to mark them as such, rather than Exempt, or leaving it blank. Because we do not take attendance per class period it does not automatically mark them as such in the grade book and teachers do not have the ability to do so themselves. Please add this as an option along with Exempt, Incomplete, etc.
