Don't automatically make an assignment "overdue" if not graded.

For assignments without the dropbox enabled, students control the flag that says "in progress" or "completed" -- until the due date. If the teacher has not graded the assignment by the end of the day that it is due, the flag turns to "overdue." In our school, this causes stress for our students. I would like the ability to shut off that automatic behavior.

Wow, this thread is more than 6 years old! Similar idea posted today, October 20, 2021. Please help us find a way to bridge the gap between "to-do" or "overdue" and "graded" in the student's assignment view. Could give teachers a score option of "turned in" or "completed" that is differentiated from scoring; allow teachers to create assignments with "soft" or no due dates; or allow an assignment type like "participation" or "in-class" that does not require a turn-in for the status to change.
