PLEASE change the URL of onCampus to "oncampus" rather than myschoolapp.com

There needs to be some effort to start unifying URLs to better match your Blackbaud branding.  It's tough to tell people to go to "oncampus" when the URL doesn't say oncampus, the login page doesn't say oncampus, and the main page after login doesn't say oncampus.  Perhaps some of that branding can be modified on our end, but I'm surprised it's not already there in some small way.   I'm not sure the history with "myschoolapp.com", but that site seems to have nothing to do with Blackbaud's onCampus if you go to it directly. If you can't do this then at least offer domain forwarding to allow us to set an internal URL referencing oncampus.

    Hi Jason!

Thank you for submitting your idea. Full transparency, we're not likely to implement this change. Many of our schools prefer to put their branding at the forefront of their end user experience as opposed to Blackbaud or our product names. And in fact, in the coming months we'll be referring less and less to "onCampus" and more and more to Blackbaud's Learning Management System as we work to reconcile all our different product naming conventions (ON, NXT, SMART....it's time for us to get some consistency and clarity).

I would suggest coming up with a non product specific way of referring to your community/lms login experience. Possibly MyKCD? That way your school is the primary brand rather than your technology partner.

    What do you think?

    Thanks!
    Jackie

Orrrr, you could allow schools to determine their own URL. They could either make it a subdomain of their website (mycca.ccaeagles.org) or a separate website that they would like to use...for example...MyCCA.cc. Wouldn't that be great? :-)

Thanks for the information.  I had not considered that would be your suggestion, but it makes sense.  I will start the conversation internally about the way we communication this site.  Thanks.
