When editing an advanced list, you may have several lines in the 'filter' clause only to realize you need to add another ilne.  That line might *logically* belong at the top or near the top of the criteria, but the only way to put it up there is to DELETE all the other criteria, enter the new one, then REENTER the other criteria.
