If a gradebook has already been set up, and assignment types are weighted, when a teacher adds an assignment of a type that was not previously set up, then that assignment type is added to the setup but without any weight. If the error isn't caught, then the cumulative grade calculation will be incorrect. It would be helpful if teachers were alerted that they need to update the gradebook setup after adding a new type of assignment.
