It would be great to have the ability to attach a rubric to a discussion, just as we can for an assignment—e.g., teachers could establish categories such as Participation and Careful Composition, Quality of Comments, Reference to Material/Resources and assign a point range for each category. Students would benefit from seeing a clear description of the criteria they are being evaluated against, and teachers would benefit from the ease of being able to grade using the rubric, just as they can for an assignment.
