We need an option beyond NO, ASSIGN DATE, NOW for publishing. Many teachers have in-class assignments that do not need to be published to the assignment center, but they do need to show up in the student's progress/gradebook printout. This forces us to PUBLISH now which clogs up the Assignment Center which is primarily used for homework, and to show upcoming quizzes/tests.

Creating a check box of: Do not publish to assignment center

or an option of: GRADEBOOK PUBLISH ONLY

would be helpful in reducing the hours our teachers spend clarifying which assignments are actually homework, which are in-class, etc.

Side Note: We used to click NO as our publish options for in-class work but an update changed this to where students can no longer see the item in their gradebook view unless we publish NOW and then it populates in the assignment center.
