Assignments for Advisory Groups

Several faculty have asked how to create assignments for their Advisory Groups. They want to take advantage of including items in the Assignment Center without the divisions having to create both and Advisory and Academic group for their advisories.

The recent need is for posting their Zoom advisory meetings into the assignment center along with the academic classes, but I can see how it would be helpful even after COVID-19 virtual classes are no longer especially in the Lower School divisions where we are homeroom (i.e. Advisory) centered.

    These really need to be a function for advisories. We are wanting them to be more proactive with our students development.

    I've had to create a non-academic academic group for this purpose which is a waste. Two group types that mirror each other. Also it would be good for Activity Groups as we have college counselors, School counselors and placement testing in Academic groups, which messes up our teacher count reporting and also messes up our official notes. We can't use the "Teacher" function in Official Notes because people who are not really the student teachers are getting Official Notes. So please add Assignments to Activity and Advisory Groups.

    We would love to see this as well! It is not uncommon for advisories to make assignments for their advisees. This would be a very helpful feature.
