When our teachers are grading assignments, it would be very awesome if there was a link within that screen to send a message to that child. They don’t really read the comments or the annotations (especially the younger ones), so we usually wind up sending a message if there is a problem or especially a misunderstanding about the math work. It would be so convenient if teachers didn’t have to go to a separate screen to do that.
