Create a Contact Tracing Report

Due to covid-19, we need a report that can be run for an individual student that generates a list of their class rosters.

We missed marking this one as implemented a few years ago, but this does exist as an Advanced list template. Cheers!

Forgot to mention there is also a list for Activities in addition to the Academics and Advisories.

It appears there is now an advanced list that does this. The academics' list works well for me but still trying to iron out the hiccups with the advisory list. Check out Derek Nichols' The Month In Review: October 2020 Feature Releases.

    Core

List managers were given a new advanced lists template for theGroup Contact Tracingcategory. These can be used to pull rosters for classes and athletic teams, allowing for easier contact for when parents need to be notified of COVID-19 exposure. Edit theAttendance Taken Calendar Date and theAbsence Calendar datein the template’s search criteria. The default dates are 12/31/2099 so replace these with the date of possible exposure and contact with the contagious student.

Additionally, edit the template’s search criteria to use a valid User Base User ID. The default ID is 9999999. Replace this with the ID of the student who is contagious. Do this in both conditions that rely on User Base User ID.

    I would add Activity groups

This is a great idea. Per my school nurse: I would add teachers to the contacts if available.

I agree that including staff is helpful. If it's possible to pull into one report, that would be better. We don't have guidelines yet on how families will be contacted. We may have to give a report to the Department of Public Health who then notifies families. These guidelines have not been given to us yet in Pennsylvania.

I would think that if we can do the reverse as you suggest and trace a staff that would be helpful too - and a separate report.

Would you want to take different action to notify staff who came in contact versus other students/families such that it should be two different reports?

Thanks for getting this idea started. Here is my starting assumption on what this report should do. Please reply with other things I've missed and what your expectation would be for the columns available on the report:
    For an individual

    1) Take daily schedule

    - for a date range

    - less absences

    - find all rosters

    - name, contact info parent contact info

    2) Other family members also at school

    - By shared address

    - By relationship

Repeat for any of those individuals ?

I would include that the report should not just be classes but advisory, athletics and dorm if those exist.
