This has been addressed with today's release. You can now add Mastery information in assignments from the various calendar views.

Hi @Trey Hoos, yes we have that planned to add back in in the very near term. I'm assuming you're talking about the publishing tile on assignments highlighting the section schedule. I would say we're about a month or so out. If you're meaning something else here let me know or spin up a new idea thanks!

@Angela Addison - Related to this issue, the new calendar version no longer shows when you see the class. The old version highlighted the days of the calendar in blue to show you when you would see that class again...made for very quick scheduling.

Hi all, the reason that there are 2 versions is because we are in the process of converting all of our product features over to a new UI platform. As you can imagine this is an incremental initiative that takes a bit of time. Unfortunately the new and old platforms aren't entirely compatible - you can launch old pages from the new features, but not new ones from the old. Since we've already migrated assignments but not gradebook yet the only thing we can do is launch the old version of assignments for now and educate users that in order to have the new assignment features they'll have to go to assignment center, or we could shut off the functionality for adding assignments entirely from gradebook to avoid confusion but when previously put out the community the feedback we received was to please not remove it entirely. The good news is that we have completed discovery and design for the new gradebook and are heading into development on that shortly.
