Partial Credit should be given for multiple choice questions with more than one answer

I noticed recently that a multiple choice question I gave that had 2 answers was marked incorrectly and given no credit, even though the student picked one of the two correct answers.

Here was how it was marked in the "results" tab:

  • It is missing a ( ) in the last line to correctly calculate the average using PEMDAS( Your Answer )

  • There should be an int or float function on the input commands( Correct Answer )

  • It is missing a pow in the last line to correctly calculate the average

  • Nothing, it correctly finds the average of the numbers

There was a check mark next to the first two answer options, but there was no partial credit given for the fact that the student chose choice 1 (a correct answer). I believe that he should have received half credit for choosing one of the two correct answers.

    Hi Folks -

This feature recently shipped with our new Assessment experience. When building a multiple choice question, you now have the ability to mark it to award partial credit.
