Being able to set user's notifications to automatically receive emails when announcements are posted to groups would be helpful.

If notifications were automatically set so that users associated with a specific class, team or group would get emails, communication would be better within the school. Many users do not set up their notifications correctly and, therefore, miss out on important information. If it is standard that the notifications are "on" and users can turn them off if needed rather than the other way around, it wouldn't be on the user to "opt in".
