My school uses the gradebook to calculate semester grades, then uses grade reporting to combine them with final exam grades to create the ultimate final grade—which promptly disappears from teachers' view forever and gets buried in individual report cards once the grade reporting period ends. We base course recommendations on those same final grades (not the "cumulative grade" that's visible in that report, which excludes the final exam), so it would be helpful to be able to look down a list and see all students' final grades. It's kind of insane that there's no way to see what grade a student actually achieved in our class without viewing each student's report card individually.
