Ability to pull Learning Progression data (including transferrable skills and content-are skills) into the report

With mastery, the connection between the report and the gradebook is broken and I think there is a way to restore this connection. Here are two suggestions:

  1. Grading Calculation button: Allow for mastery based calculations to be applied to one or more content-area skills for an item in the teacher's grading page. This way a teacher could click calculate and then, perhaps, select the content-area skill that they want to calculate into this part of the report.

  2. Reporting Template: Allow the template to pull (and calculate using mastery calculations) content-area skills and transferable skills evaluated in that reporting period onto the report automatically. These could be displayed in the grading area for teachers to review and adjust prior to publishing potentially.

These are just the first two ideas that come to mind. I know that the learning progression page is meant to do this but we still have reporting requirements we need to meet for the Ministry of Education and this requires we can get a snapshot of the learning progression in our reports. As it stands, we would need to get teachers to copy this data from their gradebooks into the report.

Yes -- this is really important! Report narratives and CBE data go hand-in-hand.

It is vital to add CBE/Learning Progression data to reports.
