"Essay Setup" shouldn't be required for printing assessments

We finally got the ability to print assessments, however the process definitely has some functionality issues. I reached out to support today because we though the ability to print assessments was broken. When we would go to print an assessment and clicked the "Print preview" button, nothing would happen. After reaching out to support they told us it was probably a caching issue which it wasn't since we had already done the usual troubleshooting steps.

I decided to change the "text size" and put a number in the "Essay setup" box and then it worked. I discovered that if you leave the "Essay setup" box blank, nothing happens. There is nothing to indicate that "Essay setup" is required AND the assessment we were trying to print doesn't even have an essay question.

The "Essay setup" option should only show up if there is an essay question on the assessment. At the very least, if you're going to leave it there, it shouldn't be a required question in order to print the assessment. Or at the VERY very least, put a red asterisk to indicate it's required.....

    Hi Folks -

This recently went live. We added a default value of 5 to the box and included an indicator to let teachers know that this is a required field.

Hopefully this help with the confusion, and thank you for bearing with us as we got this added!

Or even a default value in the box... add it to the list of bizarre oversights.

No matter what they say about it "working as intended", that is a bug/glitch/poor coding/oversight/whatever you want to call it!
