If you want to include a formative assignment/assessment that has an associated rubric from your archive and you don't want to have those results affect a student's grade you currently have to set the factor to "0" because by associating a rubric you preclude the radial that removes the addition to gradebook. I can't think why this would be so it seems like a pretty straightforward addition to allow those options independant of one another!
