Assignment status for missing or incomplete

I would like the student view of assignment status' to show Incomplete and Missing when the teacher marks them as such. Our teachers would like students to be more aware of the missing assignments and think that the status of missing or incomplete would be helpful.

I would like the Grades - By Student report to include assignments that are marked as Missing. This would be helpful to print out and give to students and parents to outline their current progress within a class.

    Hi There!

    I am thrilled to report that with this morning's release we have updated the Student Assignment Center to include additional status' including Missing, Incomplete, Exempt and Late. We also split out the labels from the actions to clarify the student experience.

    I love the gradebook and assignment changes that are coming!! They are awesome improvements. One other item that we struggled with was that the default for previous assignments always took students to the OLDEST assignments first. They had to scroll down or switch to SORTABLE ORDER, the previous button should still show newest first. After a years worth of assignments, it's annoying to see assignments from August of 2016 in May of 2017.

    The improvements include exposing the grade book status icons to Teachers and supporting shortcut keys.


    We're also going to be updating the Student Assignment Center to add better distinction between labels and actions. And we're adding status' for Incomplete and Missing so Student's have better insight into the Assignments they need to make up.

    I love this idea. We've got this wonderful Assignment Center  - so let's shine a light on those missing/incomplete assignments to help your students be more organized and productive. 

    I'm bundling a bunch of Assignment ideas into a release that is slated for Spring 2016. I'm going to pull this one in.
