It would be useful to see/view the actual creation date, not just the "assigned" date for an assignment. The assigned date is user-selectable and can be both backdated and set in the future. When troubleshooting "the student's say they did not see my assignment" issues it would be useful at least on the admin side to see when the assigment was actually created, because again, the assigned date can be backdated to whenever, but the created date should be a fixed timestamp, useful for accounting and troubleshooting purposes.
