Have Assessments Periodically Save

I would like assessments to save periodically as the student was completing the form. Instead of the students having to click the save button, I would like the assessments to save automatically so that if a student is booted from the assessment for internet or browser issues, they do not lose all their work.

We agree! This is problematic. There are many accidental ways a student can leave an assessment.  Saving what has been done would really save a lot of tears.  The assessments are great, but this is an important fix.

      Hi All,

The code for an "Allow Resume" option for Assessments has passed testing and is slated for the 2/10 release.

Your Teachers will now see the option to either allow an entire class to resume in bulk OR individually. This is handy if a student (or entire class) is disrupted prior to submitting (WiFi drops, etc)

Here's a sneak peek at the updates they'll see on the Results page for the Assessment:

      Thanks for your feedback!

      Hi All,

I'm with you - we may have over-rotated on trying to prevent students from cheating on assessments with the current workflow. My team is putting their heads together on how to do a better job providing students with recovery options when they lose connectivity of they hit the max time.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
      Jackie

Yes!  And NEVER delete student work.  Currently, if a timed assessment reaches the time limit while a student is still working, his or her work is discarded of they haven't saved it yet.
