Allow teacher to determine if they want to be notified when an assignment is shared from Google Doc

Allow the teacher to decide whether or not to be notified that the file is shared for an assignment. When a teachers has students submit a Google Doc the amount of email notifications is ridiculous, 1/student/assignment results in a lot of emails! The only way to stop this from happening is to have the student uncheck the notification box when submitting the assignment. You can request that students uncheck the box, but the success rate of this is small. The notification box defaults to checked. Either change the default to no or allow the teacher to set what they want for each assignment.

    I just wanted to let you know that this feature exists. It can be toggled off on a teacher-by-teacher basis from within the teacher's preferences. You can access preferences from either the Gradebook or the Assignment Center.
