When grading short submitted-text assignments (like thesis statements), I'd like to be able to see the submitted text while I'm typing my comments, so I can add to and edit the comments as ideas occur to me. As it is, the comment box usurps the entire screen and blocks the submitted text. I often have to save my comment and go back to look at the submitted text again, then reopen the comment box to edit my response. I'd like a smaller comment box that is part of the existing page rather than a giant, superimposed popup.
