For creating new assignments, can we add back a character limit count for the title field? When teachers attempt to create an assignment, the system throws an error if the character count on the title is over the limit (~255), which forces the teacher to cut back characters and try again until the title is short enough.

This issue is also important because the system doesn't show students any indication that an assignment includes a description, so teachers report that students don't always click on the assignment, and assume that everything they need is in the title. The assignment center should display either a link to the full assignment description when one is present, or it should display part of the assignment description on mouse hover instead of showing the title again. Not showing any part of the description encourages teachers to attempt to include the full description in the title, and there is no indication to students that there is more to read. Teachers report that students tend not to click on assignments, unless it looks like there is more to read.
