If a teacher is requiring a student to have one original response and then respond to X students this can be an issue if the student is the first responder. They won’t be able to respond to other student responses right away, but when they get out, the system marks this assignment/discussion as completed. They can easily forget to go back to the discussion and finish what they were required to do.

Can you add one of the following to overcome this issue?:

1. Allow teachers to tell the system the number of responses they expect and only mark the assignment as completed when that number is reached  (PREFERRED) OR
2. Allow the student to choose between completed and in-progress when they leave a discussion
