notification on assignments

I would like the Send Notification to be marked by default when a teacher creates a new assignment.

    5 1/2 years for such a simple request? It's like y'all aren't even trying to improve the teacher experience. Let 2021 be the year we eliminate that extra click!

    It would also be good to be able to designate this by assignment type (eg, notifications are not sent for participation, but are for homework)

    I agree with Audrey, I would like teachers to get a notification, via email, when a student submits an assignment. This is especially important for a missing assignment,

    And....that a teacher is automatically notified when a student completes an assignment online.
