When a teacher marks an assignment as exempt, adds a comment, and leaves out the grade in the Grade Book for a student, please allow the student to see the comment and the assignment in the Grade Book so that they can see why that assignment is exempt. As it stands, the Grade Book does not show an assignment if it is set to exempt and/or does not have a grade associated with it. An assignment can be marked incomplete and see the comment, but if no grade is entered along with it, the assignment won't display in the Progress tab for the student to look at.
