Incompletes should automatically drop off once a grade is recorded for the assignment.

When an assignment tagged as "Missing" is graded in the assignment view, the "Missing" tag automatically drops off.  The same should hold true for an "Incomplete" tag.

    Hi Folks -

With today's release, this is now possible. In order to get this function working, teachers who want this behavior need to go to My Day > Assignment Center > List View > More > Preferences. From here, they can access the Evaluation tab and enable this for Incomplete and Missing.

Maybe it could switch over to late. If you completely take away the missing or incomplete and don't change it to something else, you can lose the pattern of seeing how many assignments are coming in late or incomplete on a student. I would not support this being completely removed.

One way to handle all the policy variations is to have a default behavior like the one described here with the option for a school or grade-level team to override that behavior (to give half credit for missing work, etc.).   The value added is the ability to implement school and district-wide homework policies consistently with ease.

Any progress on this? It seems quite logical.

Yes.  This would avoid students believing they have incomplete when there is a grade present

I sometimes use incomplete to with a grade because maybe they got a good start on that assignment but its truly not complete. So in that case there would be a grade and an incomplete. But I would like the missing to go away when a grade is inputted.
