Assessment Question Navigation

When displaying assessment questions one at a time, the students find it very time consuming to go back to the beginning of the assessment to check their work or answer a question they skipped. For a 30-40 questions assessment the student must click 60-80 times to go back to the beginning and then back to the end to submit.

Question navigation would save them considerable time.

    Hi Folks -

Happy to report that now students have a much easier navigation experience when using the new assessment experience! Assessments made with the old builder, however, will still behave as they have.

If you have any enhancement ideas for the new builder, be sure to include those in the Idea Portal!

With the current online learning and increase in the use of timed assessments this type of nagivation is crucial. We have students wasting a lot of time trying to get to a previous question.

I was going to submit this type of idea to be implemented.  I have seen many assessment systems that provide a "jump" or "go to" button that allows the student to go to a specific question.  Many of my students will write a question number down so they know to return to it later, but it is a lot of clicking to get to that question when it is at the beginning and they are at the end.  I have also worked with systems that provide a "go to" feature that provides a list of all of the questions.  In the list, if the question is in bold font, that is a question that is not answered.  Variations of this could be possible such as showing the question in red if it is not answered.
