When a credit card has been set up for recurring monthly gifts, we only find out it has expired or been denied at the end of the month when we reconcile our accounts. We reach out to the constituent but by the time we receive an updated card number, it is well into the next month so we end up losing a month as the larger givers don't want to process two large amounts in one month. If there was an automatic notice that went to the card holder when their card did not go thru, it would help the update turnaround time immensely. Thanks!
