As the email from a users profile automatically populates into the Notifications area under > Settings > Notifications, I think its also logical and useful that the mobile number also automatically pulls in as well, from the user profile. It saves confusion, the user does not have to update or enter the data into a format that is accepted into the system. (i.e. country code, etc.). This is particularly important for us considering we are an international school with mobile numbers in different formats.
