It would be very helpful to be able to drill down into some SMTP connection information when troubleshooting Pushpage delivery issues. Currently we only see a "send date" and a"view date" with no connection or rejection information. If we receive a message from a parent that they are not receiving email from the school we can only check that they have not unsubscribed from the email list(s) and that their email address is included on the recipient list. Since we do not have access to the email server logs on either side we can not prove attempted delivery or provide any rejection messages.
Having access to SMTP log information for these types of issues makes the process much quicker to resolve, eliminates the need to contact Blackbaud support in most cases and saves everyone a lot of time.
Suggested information to include:
sending IP
receiving IP
date/time stamp
SMTP status code (for example 250, 450, 550, etc...)
SMTP status code message (for example "queued for delivery", "to many recipients" or "invalid user")
It would also help to be able to limit results to a specific mailing instead of a time range.
