Per a case filed with support, there is currently no way to filter a site search. It would sometimes be helpful to limit search to specific content channels, or even just narrow down to a content type.

In this instance, we use a News content channel to publish student newspaper stories. This content is collected and published in perpetuity in a news channel called "archive." I would like to create a News Archive page to display this content with a search bar to search the archive content channel. The current search returns no relevant results.

I imagine this would look something like the "Event Filter" implemented on Calendar page, where the search could be limited to a general content type or specific content channel.
