Google Analytics tracking:Send User to seperate page after clicking submit on inqurey/Custom forms

We would like the option to have users redirected to a separate page when they click submit on an Inquiry Form or Custom Form for the confirmation. For the purpose of Google Analytics: In order to track how many people are submitting these forms the user's would need to be sent to a separate page-otherwise Google Analytics is only tracking up to the user landing on the Inquiry Form or Custom Form since the user does not leave the original URL when they click submit.

I think this solution only works if your site is hosted with Blackbaud. Otherwise, you are tracking codes from separate domains (myschoolapp.com and your main website). To get inquiry form tracking to work, I had to implement iFrame cross-domain tracking - something like this https://ykpoh.medium.com/setting-up-iframe-cross-domain-tracking-using-google-tag-manager-94ae5eab686a - I am not a Google Tag Manager expert, so I had to hire an expert to do this for me. We see the form submissions as an Event in Google Analytics and then run reports to see source/medium, time of day, etc from there. I hope that helps someone. If you have found an easier way - please let me know.

This is a no brainer and should be very easily accomplished on Blackbaud's end. This thread says its been implemented, but I have not seen an option for it?

I can't get the tracking to work properly and actually carry forward the source information. Is there any sort of a tutorial on this and what it looks like in Google Analytics?

officially closing this one out as we went live with tracking on website, inquiry, application and custom forms and there is ability to configure your redirects in those tracking snippets as well.

Hi there, currently in development and due to ship in February (keep an eye out for release notes) is enhancing the existing customize confirmation feature on application and inquiry forms to be able to add head and body code injection/tags. Custom forms is in the backlog so will be a little behind that. We are also in school website if you are using that, enhancing the current configuration where you can enter code injection/tags to include a place to enter those for the body (was previously only the head). Let me know if you need more information!

Are there any updates on this functionality?

This is a basic functionality necessary for digital marketing campaigns. To be perfectly honest, this will be a huge factor for us when deciding whether to stick with the Blackbaud CMS or go with another vendor.

Please, please consider this! We NEED to be able to track where our conversions (and non-conversions) are coming from.

What alternative methods are clients using to track? This is basic.
