We take attendance every period.  When a boy is not in class and hasn't already been marked absent for the day or period(s) because of an appointment or athletic event (by the attendance managers), he is skipping class or asleep in his dorm.  We mark him absent but then we have to send an email to the dean and his staff so that they can find the boy and account for him.  It would be great to have a notification option so that the attendance mangers get that email or text when we mark him Absent-Unexcused in section attendance.
