Attendance report that counts absences by student and subtotals by course

We have an attendance policy that outlines consequences when a students hits certain attendance thresholds, but these consequences are per course. A student may have 10 absences in 1 course, 8 in another and 6 in three more. It would be awesome to be able to subtotal absences by course so that conduct can be easily implemented. Right now, we have to export attendance several times a week and create subtotals in a spreadsheet. This is way too time consuming and cumbersome.

We added the "Class Summary" column to the Student List and are planning on adding some additional filters so you can find students that meet criteria based on excuse type and absence/tardy counts in specific classes.

This is a great addition and much needed. Only drawback is that we can't separate the "excused" from the "unexcused" so the totals are a bit misleading. It would be ideal if we could add that as an option. Perhaps and "Excused Summary" and an "Unexcused Summary" could be added?

I see the 'class summary' option now, but I don't see any way to count. Is there something we are missing, or is this part of the functionality still forthcoming? This report is certainly improved since one of the filters is now current student, which helps. We simply need to be able to run a report on students who have more than X absences in a course, or one that will provide a count of all absences by class for any student. We really appreciate the team's work on this!

Great news - when will this be visible?

This would be very useful to us as well. Our students have to petition for credit in any course that they miss more than 8 times. We would like to be able to query on this type of attendance filter.
