It would be great if each teacher would be able to set what marking period their grade book defaults to when they open up. When a teacher opens their grade book it currently defaults to the current marking period. It causes a lot of clicking and the possibility of errors if the teacher forgets to change it to the correct marking period. Please make a setting where each teacher can set the default Marking period that the grade book opens with to be: whatever the current marking period is or let them choose a specific marking period (ex. fixing MP1 grades when MP2 has already begun). In addition a setting for the marking period that the grade book opens with for the teacher to be able to have the time between marking periods (usually just a few days over a weekend) to default to the previous marking period or to default to the upcoming marking period.
