We need a way to indicate the following for a student:

- there is no grade for a course [in a term]

- this must be searchable [e.g. look for all 'NG' grades for an academic year]

- this should either prevent calculation of the GPA for the term or be ignored.    This should be specifiable as both a default (in settings) and overridable in the GPA calculation .
